GridFlex use case / U.S. commercial facilities

Commercial battery storage records for facility managers.

Register battery assets, review saved state-of-charge observations for supported models, and report on the history your GridFlex account has on file.

Battery tools require sign-in and an active GridFlex subscription. If you are signed out, the workspace sends you through the existing sign-in flow and back to battery records.

The current workflow

From an account record to saved history.

  1. 01Register an assetSave the battery details your facility team wants to track.
  2. 02Review saved readingsInspect supported SunSpec observations, recorded times, and history.
  3. 03Compare and reportReview a date range and download battery or portfolio records.

A registered battery is an asset record. It is not a device connection or a reading.

01 / Battery registration

Keep the battery inventory your account needs.

A signed-in facility manager with workspace access can create a battery record in the account-scoped asset workspace. Add a name, then include the site and equipment details that help your team recognize the asset.

Registration saves details only.

Creating a battery record does not connect a device, set up an Enphase integration, or create state-of-charge readings. Readings appear only when supported SunSpec observations have been stored for the account.

02 / State of charge

Read stored observations with their time and status.

For supported battery models with a confirmed SunSpec state-of-charge mapping, facility managers can review the latest stored reading, inspect saved history, and follow trends over time.

Observation time

Each saved reading includes its recorded observation time. History and trends use those stored observations, so the time shown belongs to the record on file.

Current, stale, or missing

The workspace distinguishes a recent stored reading from a stale one and identifies when a supported reading is missing. These labels describe saved-reading availability and recency, not a live battery connection.

State-of-charge information here is stored SunSpec observation data, not live telemetry. An unsupported battery model can remain registered without a state-of-charge reading.

03 / Operational reporting

Compare saved history and export records on file.

Facility managers can review battery readings over a selected observation-date range, inspect saved history and trends, and download reports for follow-up or recordkeeping.

A

Compare an observation range

Select a shared UTC date range to compare stored state-of-charge readings across supported batteries in your account.

B

Download CSV records

Export a battery’s saved reading history or download one CSV for stored readings across your battery portfolio.

C

Save a history PDF

Download a state-of-charge history PDF for a battery, based on observations saved for that account.

These reports describe saved observations and the selected records on file. They do not report live battery activity or establish measured savings.

What this workflow does not claim

Clear records, without implying a live connection.

This battery workflow does not provide live Enphase connectivity, automated battery control or dispatch, or a guarantee of savings. A saved or current reading status only describes stored SunSpec data and its recency; it is not proof of live monitoring, measured results, or realized savings.
